Edit a recording or a song
Trim sections, record audio, apply effects and export an edited copy.
Choose it when: You need to change what you hear, such as removing a mistake or shortening a clip.

Create an audio or data disc
Burn audio CDs, data discs and saved ISO images.
Choose it when: You have tracks, documents or an image file that you want to write to physical media.
Requires a compatible disc writer, suitable blank media and administrator permission.
Change a video format
Convert videos in a queue or save an audio track from video.
Choose it when: Your video needs a different format or preset for another player or project.
This is a Windows desktop converter. It is not the VidMate mobile app or a streaming-video service.
Convert a group of audio files
Batch-convert music and recordings to MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and other supported outputs.
Choose it when: You want to change the format of intact tracks rather than edit their content.
Converting MP3 to FLAC or WAV cannot restore information already missing from the MP3.
Back up a disc as an image
Read supported unprotected discs to image files, verify images or write an ISO to a disc.
Choose it when: You want an image backup workflow for compatible media.
Requires a compatible optical drive and administrator permission. This release does not bypass copy protection or convert movie DVDs to MP4.
Choose Music Editor Free to change the content of a song or recording. Choose SoundTaste Audio Converter to process a queue of tracks into another format. VidMate Video Converter handles video conversion and audio extraction from video files.
Disc Create Express and HotDisc DVD Copy include overlapping disc and image tools. The Disc Create Express page starts with audio and data disc creation; the HotDisc page explains reading, checking and writing disc images.
These disc workflows need compatible hardware. The current HotDisc release does not bypass copy protection or provide the DVD-to-MP4 workflow described on some older pages.
